Released around 1983, this set, as can be seen from the box titles, started as simply "NATO Infantry" in the1983 box and progressed to "Modern US NATO" by the time they swapped to the Humbrol box in 1986. The set was moulded in seven poses, first in olive green and then in a very dark green, almost black and in fourteen figure boxes only. Due to the short run of these figures they are now very collectable, especially in the 1983 boxes.
