COUNTER ATTACK

Also in the 1977 Matchbox Kit Catalogue was the Counter Attack Playset, which, to all intents and purposes, was aimed directly at the Airfix Combat packs then available.  "Counter Attack" - mmmm?

The set came with a base board for setting everything up, instruction sheet, a main shelled-out building, a sentry tower, various other battlefield parts, an American Greyhound Armoured Car, two air-pump-powered weapons/grappling hook and a suction-powered land mine.  Last, but not least, were a set each of American and German Infantry.  I seem to remember that they did not come boxed but rather bagged in this set.  The pictures below show my own personal additions to the set here.
