BRITISH PARATROOPS SECOND VERSION

This set sees the return of the British Paras but with entirely new mouldings and still with seven separate poses. Definitely a lot better! This new set was listed in the August 1972 magazine but was actually used in an Airfix advertisement in the March issue. The set was first seen in the 1972 Airfix Catalogue and it was moulded in olive green until the 1995 re-issue in light grey.

THIRD ISSUE BROWN BOX.  Please note that this box is strange in that it has the American Infantry listed on the reverse, as well as US Infantry!  The third picture shows the correct set list.

2009 HORNBY BOX

The first picture in this batch shows the artwork in the 1972 ninth edition Airfix Catalogue.  The next photo shows all seven poses.  Next is a full set of twenty-nine figures with the mould numbers 1 to 29.  1995 re-issues in grey next followed by the 2009 re-releases in a dark tan colour and the last three photos show different base shapes - always a good way to tell if you have a complete original set.
